PostHaste Data Deletion Instructions

Effective date: October 22, 2026 Page URL: posthaste.io/data-deletion

PostHaste Technologies, Inc. ("PostHaste") lets you delete the data we hold about you and your business at any time. This page explains how.

Option 1: Delete your PostHaste account

  1. Sign in to PostHaste.
  2. Go to Settings > Account.
  3. Choose Delete account, type the confirmation phrase shown (your business name, or DELETE if you never saved one), and confirm.

Only an account Admin can delete the account. Your access ends at once, and your data is deleted within 30 days. If you have an active subscription, it is cancelled at the same moment: nothing more is charged, and the time left on it is not refunded.

Option 2: Email us

Send an email to privacy@posthaste.io from the email address on your PostHaste account, with the subject line "Delete my data". Include your business name. If you connected a Facebook Page, Instagram account, or Threads profile, you may include its name so we can find the right records.

We will confirm your request and complete deletion within 30 days. If you have an active subscription, we cancel it when we act on your request: nothing more is charged, and the time left on it is not refunded.

Option 3: Facebook, Instagram, or Threads users

If you connected PostHaste to Facebook or Instagram, you can also remove PostHaste from your Meta account:

  1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy > Settings.
  2. Select Business Integrations (or Apps and Websites).
  3. Find PostHaste and select Remove.
  4. Check the box to delete data PostHaste received, if offered, and confirm.

When you do this, Meta sends PostHaste a data deletion request through our deletion callback. For each Facebook Page and Instagram account you connected, we then stop PostHaste's access, delete the stored access tokens, stop the scheduled posts to it that have not started publishing, and delete the data we received from Meta for that connection: the Page or Instagram account name and id, the permissions you granted, and your Meta user id; we also remove the Facebook or Instagram post ids from our record of which posts were published (that record itself, without the id, is kept). If a post was being published at the moment your request arrived, we confirm your request right away and finish removing that post's id automatically as soon as the post has gone out; until then the status link shows the request as in progress. We keep one copy of each published post's id in our internal delivery log, which our delivery checks use to confirm what was actually published; it is not shared and is deleted with your account (Option 1 or 2). We give you a confirmation code and a link where you can check the status of your request. To match a later status check or a repeated request to you, we keep a one-way keyed hash of your Meta user id, never the id itself. If you remove PostHaste without asking for your data to be deleted, we stop PostHaste's access and the scheduled posts in the same way, but keep the account name so you can see in PostHaste which connection lost access.

If you connected a Threads profile, you can remove PostHaste from Threads in the same way: in the Threads app, open your profile settings, find the apps and websites connected to your account, select PostHaste, and remove it (asking for your data to be deleted, if offered). Threads then sends PostHaste its own removal or deletion request, and we do the same as above for your Threads profile: stop PostHaste's access, delete the stored access token, stop the scheduled posts to Threads that have not started publishing, and, for a deletion request, delete your Threads profile name and user id and the permissions you granted, and remove the Threads post ids from our record of which posts were published (that record itself, without the id, is kept). If a post is being published at the moment the request arrives, we confirm the request right away and finish removing that post's id automatically as soon as it has gone out (the status link shows the request as in progress until then). You get a confirmation code and a status link, and we keep only a one-way keyed hash of your Threads user id. We keep one copy of each published post's Threads id in our internal delivery log, because our delivery checks use it to confirm what was actually published and to avoid charging or posting twice; it is not shared and is deleted with your account (Option 1 or 2).

If Facebook does not show you a confirmation code, email us as in Option 2 and we will delete the data. Meta's request may also not reach records of an earlier connection to the same Page that a different Facebook user later reconnected; to be sure everything is deleted, also email us as in Option 2.

Google Business Profile users

If you connected a Google Business Profile, you can remove PostHaste's access in your Google Account: open your Google Account's security settings, find PostHaste among your third-party connections, and remove its access. That stops PostHaste's access to your Business Profile. Google does not send us a deletion request when you do this. To delete the access tokens we hold, disconnect the location in Settings > Connections; to also have its name and ID deleted, email privacy@posthaste.io and ask us to delete them, or delete your whole account (Option 1 or Option 2).

Disconnecting a single platform

You can stop PostHaste's access to one platform without deleting your account by going to Settings > Connections in PostHaste and choosing Disconnect. We then delete the stored access tokens for that platform and stop the scheduled posts to it that have not started publishing. We keep the account's name and ID so you can see what was connected, until you delete your account or ask us to delete them. An Admin or a member with edit access can disconnect. You can also revoke access from the platform's own settings.

What gets deleted

  • Your account, profile, and teammate records (and a teammate's login, if this was their only PostHaste account)
  • Your business information, brand profile, research, and uploaded assets
  • Post ideas, drafts, generated images, and your publishing history in PostHaste
  • Access tokens and all data we received from connected platforms (Meta, Threads, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile)

What we keep

  • A keyed one-way hash of your business name, website address, and location, and trial/bonus eligibility markers, so that a business cannot restart a free trial. The hash contains no emails or content.
  • If Meta or Threads sent us a deletion request: a one-way keyed hash of your Meta or Threads user id, the confirmation code, and a record that the connection was erased (with no Page, profile or account name or id), so you can check the request's status and we can recognize a repeated request.
  • Billing and tax records, which our payment processor, Stripe, keeps as the law requires. Our own copy of your plan and payment status is deleted. Stripe's customer record for your business keeps our internal account number.
  • Records of billing problems flagged for our staff, which hold the payment processor's reference number but no name, email, or business details.
  • If one of our emails bounced from an address, was refused by our email provider, or was marked as spam there, a record of that address and the reason, so that we do not email it again. It is not linked to your account.
  • Copies in encrypted backups, which are deleted when the backups expire on their normal cycle.

Deleting your PostHaste data does not delete posts you already published to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, or Google Business Profile. You control those on each platform.
